Okay, here are the details on how it is that you can win this beautiful kit...

Leave a comment below in this post sharing a favorite summer memory from this summer! My favorite memory for sure this summer is getting to go to Delta Lodge with my family for a week. We made some wonderful memories there together.

Good luck and thanks for participating in the giveaway!

Some SEI Project Sneaks...

7.21.2015

I had some fun creating this month's projects and wanted to share a couple of quick sneaks before they are up fully on the SEI blog here this month.

I'll of course be sure to share them in their entirety once they are up! And just a hint of things to come...there may be a giveaway coming up here on the blog so be sure to stay tuned!

Things have been so busy here lately. With my working, Ethan doing some freelance work and Zoey attending a theater day camp/workshop for the past three weeks (this being her last week) we've all been running circles around one another! We've been determined to carve out moments for fun when possible here this summer, though difficult at times, it's something that's important for the three of us since during the school year it just simply does not happen as much as we want.

Zoey will be in three performances of the play that they've been practicing this weekend. She's had so much fun and enjoyed getting to learn more about the craft of acting itself as well as getting to meet new friends. I'm so happy that she has found something else that she is interested in and passionate about. Hoping she can continue partaking in things like this.

The summer if flying by, I can't believe we're already over half way through! There are so many things yet to try to do before we have to start thinking in school mode.

Sigh.

Sharing Some SEI Scrapbook Layouts

7.16.2015

Here are my SEI projects for last month...with the Fourth of July weekend I got a bit behind in sharing here on the blog but they've been up on the SEI blog already.

I really had fun with these layouts. I mixed up collections a bit and am loving the corrugated cardboard circles! A very easy way to add some texture to your project is to do a bit of layering.

I used one of the punch out die-cuts from the Summer Woods collection which I LOVE...

I've been having fun printing out my photos from my Instagram account which means perfectly square photos which I'm finding fun for scrappy projects, something a little different.

Here is another layout...a pretty clean and simple one.

Single photo...a favorite. Love my girl! To see all the supplies used on this layout be sure to check out the blog post sharing it on SEI's blog!

SEI is coming out with some super cute collections lately. Have you seen the Hoo's Sweet collection yet? It's adorable! I can't wait to get my hands on it and create using it since Zoey and I both love owls!

Road Trip to the American Girl Store at the Mall of America

7.07.2015

Sharing some photos of a somewhat impromptu little road trip we took with some of our closest friends to the American Girl store at the Mall of America location. Our girls all have summer birthdays so this was a little bonus birthday trip...and, it's just plain old fun to get to go to the American Girl store! Our drive one way to get there was just over 4 hours, we've done it once before so we kind of new what to expect this time. You can check out our past experience at the American Girl store HERE if you like.

While visiting we made sure to make a point to eat out at the Bistro Cafe, it's always fun to eat out with your dolls and the waitstaff always makes it extra special!

I took some pictures of my meal, they have a special gluten-free menu if you have the need which I took advantage of ordering off of.

I took some pictures around the store as we browsed as well...it's always so fun to see the doll displays and American Girl had just recently had a new release of products so the girls were extra interested (if that's possible!?) in seeing what was new.

Of course the girls got pictures with the photo prop of the newest Girl of the Year, Grace.

And a definite highlight for the girls (again!) were the escalators! Up and down, over and over...so funny! We have none in our town though so I see the draw. :)

Here is Zoey with the doll she brought (Petrova) picking out which Grace doll she wanted to take home...she chose the one in the middle.

Here are the girls with their special new dolls...it's so fun getting to pick out a doll at the store. This is Zoey's second store bought doll and I have to admit, it's pretty fun getting to hand pick your doll.

At the doll salon while we were there they were offering free doll ear piercing so Zoey got her new doll's ears pierced.

And she got a package of earrings to take home too...with strict instructions to leave the dolls "starter" earrings in her ears for two days before removing and switching out for different earrings.

We stayed overnight at a hotel close to the Mall of America and the girls swam that evening and we just played with the dolls that night at the hotel and stayed up late and had snacks, etc. It was fun to have some girl time...we woke up the next morning and headed back for one more visit before heading back home.

We ate at the Bistro again before heading for home and upon leaving we ran into Blue from Blue's Clues! Too funny...this was a show that Zoey watched when she was little...around three or so! We had to get a picture!

Another photo opp presented itself when we walked by the Lego store...pretty cool storm trooper if you ask me!

We had so much fun, it was so nice getting away with friends even if it was for just a short time...it was well worth it and I know these will be memories that Zoey will not forget.
